Belly dance performance Experience Middle Eastern culture through oriental dance ( belly dance ). This dance is one of the arts that constitute a bridge between the cultures in Israel. The Belly Dance Center offers various kinds of performances by a belly dancer or a number of dancers, from parties to stage performances. Our dancers will get everyone on their feet, dancing, or mezmerize with a professional, colorful and exciting stage show. The Belly Dance Center offers professional belly dance performances which everyone will enjoy. Each performace is tailored to the nature and composition of the group. Her extensive experience in oriental dance and academic studies of Islam and the Middle East, contributed to the creation of this unique, colorful and fascinating show. Oriental dance, or in its more popular name, belly dance, has become very popular in recent years in Israel and worldwide. The dances in this show reveal the many different styles of this dance, form the traditional, folkloric style (Baladi) to modern (Oriental), to the classics of arab music and the contemporary pop arab music. Between the dances are short segments explaining the fascinating development of this dance over the years, as well as aspects of Arab muslim culture in which it developed. The show can be delivered in various languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian & Hebrew. Members of the group will enjoy experiencing this special dance and learn basic dance movements in a fun humorous atmosphere. The workshops are delivered in a way that everyone can feel comfortable to participate. The bely dance workshops are tailored to different age groups (from the age of 4 to ages 80 +) or by the composition of the group (women only, women and men, families). We will bring colorful hip scarves and upbeat fun music. Different aspects of the dance can be addressed in the workshop, such as the arab culture, arab music, womems status, health aspects of dance and more.
